Whoever said bodybuilders are slow?🙄🥊 Felt right in the mood for some heavy bag work tonight after some strength (push) training. Energy levels were at a high today, and it felt amazing dropping some bombs to finalise my workout.
----> SWIPE LEFT TO SEE FOOD PREP. This weekend had some ups and downs that could have made today very stressful instead of joyful. But I've had many reminders of this life I love. This boy of mine is precious to me and brings me so much joy (amidst the chaos). What also brings me joy is knowing my body has been fueled properly even with obstacles! Before our weekend out of town, I made sure to do my meal prep to stay on track for the #ultimatereset. I DEFINITELY would not have done as well flying by the seat of my pants. My food was DELICIOUS, completely on plan, and already made-- all I had to do was heat and eat. When others around me were having Chinese food 🍛 and pizza 🍕 (MAJOR temptations), I didn't feel the need to partake. Not even "just a little bit". I have committed to this 21 days of SUPER dialed in nutrition and gentle cleanse for VERY important reasons. 👊🏻1) weight loss- I'm still working on my BIG SCARY GOAL of losing 100 pounds; ☀️2) I've been dealing with emotional and binge eating for years, and this is another step in being INTENTIONAL and CONSCIOUS of my relationship with food; and 🙌🏻3) bigger goals are LESS scary and more manageable for me when in real them into smaller chunks. Three weeks of a structured detox/cleanse (with three follow-up weeks) is far less intimidating and PARALYZING than UNKNOWN MONTHS to reach my overall goals. NO ONE ever said it was going to be easy. Change requires disciple and space to breathe (grace and grit!!)-- and it WILL NOT happen overnight. Or even in just a few months. True, LASTING change takes time. In fact, it requires a willingness to stick with those new habits EVERY SINGLE DAY for as long as it takes. Cliche as it may be, it really is about the journey, not the destination. ... Take heart! Hello Australia! After three and a half amazing months in SE Asia, I've moved back into western life for a while, which means cooking for myself again!
