A little different #transformationtuesday. 😉 My fitness journey has been ongoing for years. I'm learning that my body is always changing. I'm not always going to look lean. I'm not always going to be in my best shape. Life happens. I'm human. And food..is life.😂😂 But really..😜.It took me a realllly long time to realize this. I was always critiquing myself on where I could improve(I still do this to an extent, but I have more patience with the process.) I realized that having a 6 pack IS possible, but it shouldn't be my only focus in life.😂 Instead of focusing on what I want to improve, I've shifted gears and focused on my small victories over the years: ❤️ I am the strongest I've ever been in my upper body and can knock out push ups like it's nobody's business.😜 ❤️I appreciate where I am in the process of my fitness journey. ❤️I've focused more on "doing my best" than perfectionist goals. With all that being said, I am definitely #sweatingforthewedding, but at the same time, I'm enjoying this celebratory time and life in general. I'm doing dinners with friends and family, traveling to different places for work and play, enjoying date nights, and eating the occasional cookie or cake.😉 Life is all about the balance friends. Don't beat yourself up if you aren't where you want to be. Just enjoy the process, love yourself AT every stage, and never give up.💪💪

#25- If you're the average person with typical goals of build muscle/lose fat I'm not going to sit here and tell you that your main concern should be mobility work/dynamic stretches when your workout is an hour because it's not. My main focus is smart strength training. Dependent on the time you have available for your training though, even 5-10 mins of that to dedicated to active mobility training, core stability and dynamic warmup is helpful. "Even in just a few movements warming up you will improve bloodflow and range of motion and fire up your nervous system." Partial example of dynamic warmup- Knee walk//leg cradles (top left) knee walks are great for ROM in glutes and hamstrings while working to improve coordination/balance. Leg cradles increase hip external rotation range of motion. Quad pulls//lunges (bottom left) -Quad pulls work to lengthen the quads and hip flexors. Lunges mobilize the hip flexor and work on single leg stability and core. Inchworms//Spider-Man- Inchworms not only work on core stability but stretch out glutes, hamstrings, calves, lower back, and shoulders. Walking Spider-Mans mobilize the inner thighs and hip flexor. High knees (bottom right)increase flexibility, circulation, enhance recovery, and open up your hips. Also will stretch out the hip flexors, quads, calves. FYI: great camera work from @mrich_8

Swipe; - It dosent take much to fall off . At the end of the 250kchallenge I jus see my old habits slowly creeping in skipping important meals and snacking on junk food. It actually took me 3 days to start feeling off my gainz , belly fat creeping in and putting on unwanted water weight etc.. #24- "Mobility Monday"---"Mobility is one of the concepts in the fitness industry thrown around with a variety of descriptions, means, and methods for improving or using it without understanding whether that improvement is necessary or even possible. One potential definition of mobility is the available range of motion of a joint in a specific direction." -Dean Somerset Dean Somerset who is well known as the go to mobility guy believes if all you want is daily life and train common exercises in the gym, you're more than mobile enough if you can squat, touch your toes with straight legs, and put your arms overhead with your biceps touching your ears. Make it a priority to work on mobility because most people will struggle with certain movements or activities due to mobility restriction which can cause injury. Try these 3 mobility drills (more to come down the road) you can throw into dynamic warmup or as correctives during workout Leg lowers- (top left)will improve hip mobility and stability. Can also work on core activation and fixing asymmetries. Lie on your back wrap around one foot (or in my case try without one) keep leg straight as possible (static leg) opposite leg will be dynamic going up and down for 10 count. Wall Slides- (bottom)keep your lower back flat against the wall and push your elbows hard back into the wall and "press" toward the ceiling. Go 8-10 reps. Shoulder injuries commonly occur because of poor shoulder mobility. The main causes are tightness in pecs, Larson and subscapularis. All are responsible for internal rotation. When tight it's difficult to press overhead properly causing hyperextension in low back. This will help. Thoracic spine rotation- (right)quadruped position, sit back into hips, hand behind head turn twist your body. 8-10 ea. Bater tudo no liquidificador. Se ficar mto grosso pode colocar um pouco de água.
