First time getting my hands to the floor in this low lunge backbend aka anjaneyasana variation! This is one of those ones that looks pretty doable when you are starting out down this yoga path, so you give it a go, and wonder how other other people are made of plasticine!! .

His yoga practice is insane, despite the fact he has teeny tiny T-Rex arms (along with another YTT friend @thebokeeffect
!). There was one moment during our training where @cequintero
were teaching their final exam and the whole class was backbends... they cued us into the low lunge and suggested some of us could reach the floor... I tried and was way off, but stable. Until I saw poor Philip try from my prime position on a mat right behind him. He reached once, twice, three times and I swear you could see the thought bubble 💭 of 'where is the goddamn floor'?! At which point he turned around to me to do the internationally recognised human interpretation of T-Rex arms. That was it, I was gone 😂😂😂😂 Maybe you had to be there, but hey, this one is still for him 💕
P.s. I never really believed my teachers when they told me backbends come from the hips. Now I am changing my mind...
