🇯🇲🌴Jamaica 2017 🌴🇯🇲 (photo from 21.05.17)
I decided to take a social media break and not take the time to post during these last two weeks and just enjoy the quality family time with Pete and Ava without the guilty distraction of a phone.
We did a long haul trip to Jamaica with an 18 month old and it was super....flight and all hurrah....I will pop details on my blog these next few weeks!!
Two absolutely wonderful weeks away just simply relaxing the 3 of us and having lots of fun.....it was amazing seeing Ava have so much fun and be fussed over everyday by the staff....we were lucky to bring her back, they wanted to keep her ha!! My phone was always with me for snapping hundreds of photos and videos or dropping a quick email to my mum.
Pete and I, although yes we are guilty at looking at our phones a lot, are always quite good at time together with no phones.
It made us really aware whilst people watching (we love it ha!!) how much people were always on their phones especially when dinning out. We would sit and chat away at dinner having a great time...but look around at many (mostly the younger generation) who were more interested in looking and messaging on their phones most the evening other than just sitting chatting to each other. Each to their own though it's a simple observation.
In light of the heartbreaking news of last Mondays attacks time really is about enjoying every moment and making those memories in your mind and through photos. After last Monday I embraced our holiday even more than ever.....one to really remember, friendships made and good times had. Life really is too precious so enjoying every moment of a wonderful holiday.
Be prepared for holiday spam and what we wore from our holiday wardrobes, I have photos I want to share of our trip over the next week or so....true to the name 'what I did next' xxxx @mr_pedro_w
