🦅💪INTENSITY AND PAIN 💪🦅 - Lets talk about intensity! What is it? What does it mean and why is it relevant in developing your physique? Intensity can be defined as - "a measurable amount of force or effort" How intense are you when you train? Do you lift to failure and then stop once it starts to get sore? Do you keep pushing past your pain threshold and train "beyond failure"? One look at this photo and you can see the definition of Intensity in my face 😂 Have a watch of my Deadlift PR video i uploaded yesterday. Most people would have stopped after the 4th rep My body was shaking and muscles were burning, i struggled to finish the 4th rep and an average person would have called it a day at that. I pride myself in training with high levels of intensity and i like to push my body beyond its pain threshold so i regrouped and refocused. Wrapped myself in tight and ground out a 5th rep. Pain becomes comforting. You must learn to love the pain and realise that the burning feeling or "pain" is a good thing. I truely feel in order to achieve any level of growth (physical or mental) you need to go through some degree of pain. It is within that period of pain that we grow. Learn to love the pain and seek out uncomfortable situations cause ill tell you for certain THAT is where you will really start to grow and develop mentally and physically! I encourage you to think about this the next time you are working out. Ask yourself "can i get another rep?" "Am i giving all of my efforts into this task" and push yourself mentally and physically out of your comfort zones 👍💪 Dont just settle for average - You are better than average and i believe in you!!
