I had 45 minutes today to get a workout in on my lunch break. This was a fasted workout at 2pm. It was an amazing session and I’m SO glad that I got it in.
The crazy thing about this is, is that I always used to look at Sunday as not only a rest day, but a day where I don’t really track my macros, and I’m a way a “free for all”. I even caught myself this morning, and right up till I went on my break, to just take it easy, eat my lunch, sit and get off my feet and leave the workout for Monday..
The amazing part of it is, is that I shifted my mindset right there. Right when I felt the excuses starting to hold false truth, I stopped myself.
It is things we tell ourselves daily like this..that we will “wait for Monday” or “you deserve the break and get off your feet” or “it’s Sunday, you get a free pass” that truly hold us back. -
Every single day, every single workout, everything is consequential, and telling ourselves the lie that “one day won’t hurt” is hurting and limiting us more than we even know.
If you want something, you go after it. Even on the days you don’t want to. Just work toward it anyway. If it’s important to you, you will make time for it.
