We are surrounded EVERYWHERE by messages that implicitly or explicitly tell us that a “best body” is one that requires dieting and more exercise to LOOK A CERTAIN WAY. . I have looked better, and been on death’s doorstep. Many women have. . I have been heavy, and been healthier than I ever was when I was thinner. . You know what your best body is and how to get it? . Start treating it with kindness. Respect. Care. . Eating little and working out more is not kindness. It’s abuse. Eating junk all day and not moving your body is also abuse. . Your best body, or true health is a product and manifestation of healthy habits. Body, mind, and soul habits. . And you can’t tell a persons health or whether it’s ‘best’ or not by looking at them. . If you feel crazy around food, if you can’t stop eating, if you use food to cope, and then beat yourself up about how you look, a diet is not going to help you. IN fact, it will make you crazier. . You have to change your thoughts. ANY KIND OF CHANGE requires a change in thinking and feeling, and learning how to sit with discomfort. . I have done everything to fix my relationship with and addiction to food. It took me years to figure it out, and begin implementing the practices that freed me. This is extremely important for your body, no matter what your goals are.✅ . 🍡LIGHT WEIGHTS are not the secret key to getting you toned. Both are #wholefoods but #redriver has a #variety of #wholegrains including: steel cut #wheat, steel cut #rye, cracked and whole #flax. #Steelcut means whole #oat kernels are simply cut into thick pieces (whereas rolled #oats have more #processing). When you eat #balancedmeals made of whole foods your #diet is rich in #fiber. Fiber slows down #digestion. Then you stay full longer which #prevents #overeating. I never understood anything about portion control until I started dieting 3 years ago! To be honest I figured I could wait until my cheat day. Which is always Friday. Trust me I don't eat a lot of candy like I use to but it has always been a weakness of mine. One of the main reasons why I was overweight. Now I'm more aware of what I'm eating, how many servings and the amount of carbs and sugar. My rule is if it is a huge package I eat 1-2 servings and throw the remainder away so I don't mindlessly eat the entire bag.
