Ohh more of my dancing bliss caught by @own_spirit.
Thank you for such a healing, freeing and beautiful festival.
I was discussing my love of dancing with a friend yesterday and how I have come to realise that it is a very important and necessary part of my 'journey'. It is something that allows me to just move my body completely organically and naturally within that moment. Each time is different, each experience is so open and free for whatever wants to move through me. This magical dance floor above is one of the most open spaces I've had a boogie on yet - both physically and energetically. For me to totally be in the moment with the music I have to wholly empty my mind and that is when my body can just move with the rhythms. As soon as I start to think about how I am dancing or becoming aware of others around me the movement doesn't seem so free, natural or expressive. For me dancing is another form of yoga and meditation - you have to empty out your mind of thoughts and your perception of yourself or of others. Worrying how you look or how you come across will ruin the experience, when you just connect in with the music your body responds and like the drishti in our Ashtanga yoga practice, I connect in with different frequencies or beats that come through the music and it becomes a sort of focus point to move from. Sometimes flowing from one to the other, depending on how my body or how I want to move or express myself at the time.
I really have learned about loving my body and myself through dancing and just allowing myself to be free and I really encourage you to give it a try. Especially as a woman I believe it is such a healing and beautiful experience to just go wild on the dance floor - to nourish, express and channel the feminine , fluid, organic and also the sexuality within us. ❤
So get your feet moving this weekend - even of it is on your own at home. Let loose and be free 😊
