Mule in Paradise | J. W Dant bottled in Bond bourbon | Lime | Liber and Co. ginger syrup | Passion fruit syrup | Bittermens Buckspice Gingersnap bitter | Ginger beer | My wife makes the best Kentucky Mule EVER. The other night she added some homemade passion fruit syrup and ginger bitters to her standard recipe and it was delicious. I asked her for the recipe tonight. After making it I asked her what she calls it and she said, "A Mule in Paradise." Also, J. W. Dant is underrated. It's an oddball bourbon but so good.
Had an very fun afternoon at Four Pillars Gin Distillery in the Yarra Valley outside Melbourne. over the course of our trip we ran into them three or four times so it was nice to see their distillery in person! They converted an old timberyard into a distillery and everything we tasted was awesome. Their core expression sees fresh oranges in a vapour basket which balances off some native Australian botanicals really well. Lots of funky casks sitting around the place containing all sorts of experimental liquids too. Amazing place!
If your glass is full of "joy", may it never go empty.
