A Tale of Two Optics: SPARC-AR Vs. MRO.
I just got my first @vortexoptics
SPARC-AR ($160), and got my @trijicon
MRO ($400) back from being repaired. I had the opportunity to zero them side-by-side and then shoot them side-by-side on nearly identical rifles. These are both great red dots. I have always liked the Vortex SPARCs. The SPARC-AR is far superior to the SPARC/II in many ways and in my opinion is a significant step-up. I love it. At 60% less than the cost of the MRO, this is a great option. I have no doubt that I will run and enjoy this SPARC-AR for many years and I am likely to buy another. If you don't factor in the cost, the edge goes to the Trijicon MRO. It has a wider FOV, clearer glass, and (to my 38 year old eyes) a crisper dot. I also found that the "clicks" on the MRO track truer than the SPARC-AR. The MRO became my #1
most favorite red dot sight of all time when it came out a few years ago. For now it still remains my favorite. When you do factor in the price tag, I think the scales tilt back to even. If you need the best quality red dot sight, I'd go for the MRO. If you want a good red dot without breaking the bank, you can't go wrong with the SPARC-AR. #vortexoptics #trijicon #sparc #sparcar #trijiconmro #mro #blackgunsmatter #blackriflesmatter #blacknitridetheworld #rubbercityarmory #tarantactical #runcmc #cmctriggers #cmctriggersshootingteam #3gun #3gunnation #runcmc #triggersnob #cmctrigger #madeintexas
