Human rights are at the very core of our mission when sex trafficking threatens every human right. Humans deserve equality, safety, and freedom. A woman you may be familiar with once said “human rights are women’s rights and women’s rights are human rights,” Hillary Rodham Clinton. Keep fighting for the rights of women and all of humanity will come closer to peace! ✌🏽 #humanrightsday2017 #humanrights #humanrightsday
#AlyssaMilano encouraged women who had experienced sexual mistreatment to say so under the banner of “me too”. More than 30,000 people had used the hashtag, in the next 48 hours. Culture-changer and #ChoirUp leader, @amberrosetamblyn, will be talking about women & power at this weekend's @bust_magazine Craftacular. Come hear her insightful and empowering words and then be sure to find us to shop the #ChoirUp Collection. We’ll be there from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday (25% of proceeds go to @gemsgirls). We'll see you in Brooklyn! 🖤
Really not. #choirup
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 #Repost @mysisterorg ( @get_repost) ・・・ Thank you, @time. Choosing The Silence Breakers is an important moment in the movement. It is pivotal that a magazine cover isn’t showing us yet another man who has exploited and abused women, who society has allowed to keep power over others. Instead, we are seeing women who are changing culture. Women everywhere, women who have spoken out, this cover is for you. And for women who have not yet been able to tell their stories, this is for you, too. #ChoirUp #MeToo

Kathleen Hanna. A champion of feminism, activism, and an inspiration to female artists everywhere! This awesome woman inspires us to keep speaking out and waving a middle finger in the face of hatred and sexism. Here with my sunshine sisters or Grigio Girls as my patron saint @ladygaga says. Today we let our skin drink in the sun on this planet warmed with climate change and spoke all of the things out loud and it absolutely made me feel so alive. My mind will be buzzing with the richness of conversation for days that happens between @sarah_stid and @yeahmswhite but I have a highlight. Our darling Ellen is at Princeton seminary, a peer of hers was raised in a Christian denomination that does not allow females to become ordained as priests. But this peer of Ellen's persisted, and now she's at Princeton too, and preached for the first time recently. Afterwards she told Ellen she felt childish or silly for sharing this but the thing that was best to her about that moment - that stuck with her, was the simple yet strong act of "standing and speaking." Not the power of what she said or how she said it or what she felt (albeit her words were probably sturdy and beautiful) No - it was standing. And speaking. • I felt this truth as much as I did the sun sinking into my bones: there is and will be generations of women that will defy all the no's, all the obstacles, the status quo of "this is how it's always been" and in soft or loud voices alike we will continue to stand and speak. Because the world is slowly starting to listen. And what women say - women of every background, race and profession and in every space they occupy from pulpits to carpools to boardrooms is so worth hearing. So worth saying. So worth standing up for. #ChoirUp #HereForTheStandingAndSpeaking #HereForAllOfIt #GrigioGirls
