Reverse grip 315pds 6 reps, I decided to challenge myself and transition to reverse grip while the weight was on my chest for approximately 8 seconds lol that transition was no joke!!!! The reverse grip position specifically focuses more on the upper portion of your chest and forces you to really push thru wt your triceps, definitely will get your benchpress numbers up but go light wt this grip first until you are used to the grip, lets get it!!! The Standing Resistance Band Incline Fly is an exercise that targets your chest. -- 1. Anchor one end of the resistance bands to a solid and stable object. 2. Grab the handles of the resistance bands and face away from the anchor point and step forward to increase the resistance of the bands. You can use a staggered stance for more stability. 3. With your elbows soft, extend your arms out to the sides at shoulder level with a palms facing in grip. 4. Keeping your elbows soft, and arms extended, contract your chest to move your hands towards each other in an arcing motion at shoulder height. 5. Feel the squeeze, then under control, reverse the movement back to the starting position. 6. No I'm not practicing my karate chops 🥋😜This is a great exercise to do on CHEST DAY! Keep your palm facing inwards as you press out. Take your time to feel and recruit your chest muscles fire up. It also targets the anterior deltoid (front part of your shoulder). 🍫Also engages the core and helps you work on core stability. Doing a chest press with your arm close to your body like this also allows for more shoulder stability. When your elbow is lifted in the standard chest press position, you have less stability in your shoulder. . ☝🏽😠Ladies don't neglect chest days! With all the content getting post to social media these days it's inevitable that people feel the need to reinvent the wheel. With new fad workouts and diets it's hard for beginners to tell the difference between what works and what is complete crap (most of these instagram models don't even do the shit you see‼️. It's fine to throw variety into your accessory work but never forget about the basics. Progressive overload in your basic lifts should be the foundation of a program. What's going on Instagram isn't always the best for a program - Here's an effective #exerciseoftheday The Gironda Press is an amazing chest exercise. Popularized by many in the fitness world- Don't go too heavy, as it can be stressful on the shoulders. It's also a heck of a lot harder than regular bench press. (Don't mess with this if you have shoulder issues). EMG tests have shown it activates the chest, upper and lower, harder than any other exercise. Essentially you are doing a regular bench, except lowering the weight to your collar bone. Use a spotter and stay a couple reps shy of failure. Don't want to lose your head.
