Dragon draw for today is the Eight of Swords. I am strongly drawn to the circle of swords around the figure in the card. Well, they're hard to ignore, aren't they? 😁 But one of the things I tend to look for in cards is a sense of "movement", and this is quite prominent today. Do the swords seem like they are behind the figure, or edging in front?
If they seem like they're in front, resist rushing forward and making important decisions. This could be suggesting something has not yet been considered or revealed that have an impact. The urge to "get it done" is strong, but have a little patience. Also, if something you're working on isn't quite right, or things seem shoddy or unfinished, or that you have the sense that people's hearts aren't quite in it, then don't let it slide. Do away with passive politeness or the "it'll do" attitude. Embrace clear, precise assertion. You want to be proud. Make it so!
If the swords seem like they're behind, consider if you're erecting barriers around yourself and purposefully turning a blind eye to what you've left on the other side of that barrier. People cannot get close to you. You may be feeling prickly, hurt, and wanting to teach a lesson. But the lesson is unheard because you haven't explicitly communicated it. This is the "refusing treatment" card, and this course of action serves only to bother your peace. But you can undo it yourself: the swords are logical and speak clearly. Examine what you need to say, what to address, and undo your own shackles. Freedom is a nice thing!
