⭐ "Scrooge never painted out Old Marley’s name. There it stood years afterwards, above the warehouse door: Scrooge and Marley. The firm was known as Scrooge and Marley. Sometimes people new to the business called Scrooge Scrooge, and sometimes Marley, but he answered to both names. It was all the same to him." A Christmas Carol, Charles Dickens ⭐
I’ve put off reading this for years because I felt intimidated. I’ve started just reading a few pages each morning while I’m fresh and it’s quiet. I note anything that I want to refer back to or think about in my commonplace journal. It’s working. This book isn’t as “big and bad” as I thought. I’m very much enjoying it.
