Today got away from me.
I woke up at 2 am and my mind wandered to bills and budgets. I knew I would not sleep until I had everything squared away so instead of tossing and turning for hours, I got up and dealt with the bills and made a new budget for my maternity leave. It was almost 4 when I crawled back into bed.
As a result, this mama couldn't get up when her alarm went off at 530 for a workout. I hit snooze and decided I'd get my workout in tonight.
But of course I just get home and start dinner to find out the realtor wants to show the house tomorrow - you know, my house - the one that had toys strewn all over the living room, dishes piled in the sink, laundry overflowing in the hampers, and lets not discuss the large amount of fur ALL OVER THE HOUSE.
So I cleaned. I tidied. I wiped the stove and did laundry. Before I knew it, it was almost 8 and no workout had been started.
I could've said screw it. I could've opted out. I could've decided to not workout. But instead I changed and pressed play. I had to modify a lot of the moves and discovered I can no longer reach my toes. But it got done. I didn't let myself down. I didn't set myself up for disappointment.
