Last time i visited Inazia, i was told they are reshaping themselves in to a place called Zega. Since it was news to me, i put it up on a post. Within minutes of the post, i got a call from the Hotel asking me to delete it since it wasn't official as yet.
Fast forward where Zega officially opened doors to hyd. The big menu Inzia had, was cut down to a single flyer and a more elaborate drinks menu.
Zega's tag line is eat drink and socialize. Why not Eat Drink and More ? I am really not sure about the Socialize part. The flaming mixologist tired hard then, they have one now as well. But unless they have ppl walking in through their doors paying good money , even this might not work out...unfortunately for them all they get is freeloaders... Their menu has been cut down, so has the quantity ( 4 dumplings, like seriously ) and probably the price as well.
Tried the spicy tofu and parmesan cheese dumpling, pan seared gyoza , uramaki tempura and a kaffir lime , lemongrass cooler.
The cooler was pretty nice - the only good thing about the meal today. The dimsums however were a let down. Very thick shells, no parmesan flavor in the veg dimsum. The crunch from the pan sear was missing in the gyoza and the dim sum as such felt very pasty.
The uramaki was disintegrating at the touch of the soy. Needs to be rolled better.
Inazia was always nice, not sure why they had to go and screw with it.
As on today, @hashideli
definitely better - quantity and service wise and may be quality wise as well .
