The other night I did what I refer to as a lazy twist out on old hair. Instead of my usual 15+ twists, I only did 5 jumbo twists. I tried @aphogee
's Curlific line for the first time. I detangled and softened my hair first with the moisture leave in conditioner and then I applied the curl definer to my twists. I air-dried my hair over night. I also used the curl definer on my edges. (It slays edges: See my recent bun post)
Personally I like the results but I need to try the products a few more times to know for sure. I generally like to try a product on a few different styles before I give it a thumbs up.
Thoughts: •The definer has a strong hold so less is more. Mix it with a lotion or cream for a softer hold. • I think the definer would work well for wash and go's (shingling) and coils. • the definer slays edges and dries quickly.
• I didn't have any flaking, but my hair was a little crunchy.
Next time I will be mixing it with the #frizzfreecurls
blueberry twist and shout cream (my holy grail!) for less crunch, better moisture retention and I think they'd work incredible together.
Have any of you tried this? Thoughts?
