Have you ever saved a post? Created a collection?! Do you see the little turned down little flag on the right beneath my post 👆🏻? Is a feature I couldn't live without, hands down. If you want to know more, comment below 👇🏻👇🏻
....in the meantime ...
I will get brushing, dry brushing, is something I kept hearing people doing but never got the full instructions on how to, until @misfitwellness
explained it in a post that I saved in a collection I call "self-care" 🤓
Here is what she said:
"Beginner’s guide to dry brushing 👇🏻
WHY DO IT?
1️⃣improves overall circulation
2️⃣improves lymphatic flow/ aka cell detoxification
3️⃣exfoliates skin allowing for more effective detoxification through ur pores
5️⃣ SOME SAY decreases appearance of cellulite. I personally do see a difference from daily brushing
6️⃣improves overall waste elimination
Has been doing it for about 2 years and sees the benefits!
WHAT TO DO: 💵Purchase a firm bristled “skin brush” with a head that easily fits into the palm of ur hand (I like one with a detachable handle for travel) 💁🏼Set aside 5ish minutes each day for this self care habit
🚿Dry brush completely DRY skin BEFORE u shower or use a non-toxic skin oil and do it after. Because it’s all about detox, I’m an advocate of the pre-shower dry brush. This also doesn’t require the purchase of a fancy skin oil 👊🏻
👣Starting at ur feet, use small strokes & brush up ur legs then torso, always towards ur heart. Starting at your fingertips, brush up your arms towards the heart in the same manner. On the tummy & armpits, brush in a clockwise circular motion. Brush every inch of ur body below the neck, always working towards the heart in small strokes. Exclude breasts. Ouch. 🛀🏻jump in the shower or bath & be sure to moisturize after!" 💜💜💜
