Yesterday’s other beer was @innisandgunnuk
Vanishing Point 01 Imperial Stout. This is an 11% ABV Imperial Stout Aged for 200 days in first fill bourbon casks! Huge aroma of bourbon upon pouring along with dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, coffee, roasted malts, and vanilla! Flavour wise there is a huge predominant bourbon flavour to this one along with vanilla, rich chocolate, coffee, roasted malts, caramel, dark fruit, oak, liquorice and some nuttiness. This is considerably better than any Innis & Gunn beer I’ve had and is a surprisingly excellent and complex Imperial Stout. I’d say the only area it falls short is the mouthfeel, which I felt was a bit thin. Absolutely worth trying though in any case.
