I'm back at it today people!! First LISS and RESISTANCE in the bag for Week 1! I took last week off because my knee was bothering me. During that time I did not feel nearly as good as when I'm working out...more bloated, sluggish and I could feel that I wasn't working off the not so great food I was eating. This week I'm getting back into it and it feels great! Continuing with BBG and training for my 10K!! Riding the struggle bus today ๐Ÿ™ I might have been very close to napping at work today but I rallied with some preworkout and got to crossfit ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ and did some sprint rows (3x100m + 2x250m + 1x500) and open workout 14.2. Which involved lots of high volume high reps deadlifts. I got up to 14 at 185lb so that felt good but my back didn't feel amazing. I just finished watching the fittest on earth (aka the documentary about the 2016 crossfit games) and I got pretty pumped up about my lifts and then a little sad bc my cleans at 105 are NOTHING ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ these women are soooo strong it's incredible. But progress is progress and moving some weight still is good for the mind and soul ๐Ÿ˜Š working on my weaknesses now will make me stronger. After almost five months of no lifting due to a broken rib, I'm back at it! ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ’™. I restarted BBG 2 and wrapped up Week 13 arms today. So so SO happy to be back at the gym! I thought I was going to die working with the 15 pound weights today! ๐Ÿ’€ Looking forward to rebuilding my stamina and strength! . โœจ BBG babes - what week are you all on?!
Y'all I have been soooo bad about working out on Monday's ๐Ÿ™. So anyway I did legs week 10 of GFG today and killed it ๐Ÿ˜. The finishers are 8 sets of 15 jump squats and 20 squats pulses let's just say I was a baby giraffe at the end of the workout ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

You are allowed to be both a masterpiece and a work in progress at the same time. First, these are two very awesome Christas (Yup, I like who I am, who I was, and who I am becoming) When I started my health journey, I used to look back at my party, aka college, days and think โ€œwhat a messโ€. Truth be told, I was. But I had fun. I was fun. I was happy. I was always laughing, and I was always making the most of every situation. Thereโ€™s nothing wrong with that. Nothing wrong with how I was or who I was. We often get caught up in making the perfect decisions - being the perfect daughter, perfect friend, perfect wife, perfect mother, perfect _____ (whatever). We forget how amazing the journey is and how along the way we learn to make good choices; or we make bad choices and learn to deal, and we grow. My form of self-expression at 22 was to get pink extensions in my hair. What a rebel, lol. But it made me happy. It was at that age that I found my voice. I learned to do things that made me happy, and not worry about who was watching or who was judging. All I wanted was to have my friends together, enjoy a few good drinks, and laugh, and dance. 10 years later thatโ€™s what I still love โ€“ though my dancing now is done at home, or in the form of a workout. My drink of choice is usually coffee, or occasionally some wine. Iโ€™m typically in bed by 10pm. And I still LOVE to laugh. Iโ€™m just as passionate as ever. Passionate about feeling good, working hard, and living life. I get superrrrrrr excited when I talk about working out because I understand how it has transformed my life. I get excited about eating healthy because itโ€™s not โ€œjust a dietโ€ but a way of life. We all see a bunch of products & companies advertised on FB. It used to bother me until I realized that these were friends recommending something that they loved and that did work. Iโ€™ve bought clothing, skincare, jewelry, and of course this is how I found out about coaching. I wanted to make extra money, but I had to find the right fit for ME. The fit that made sense for Christa then, now, and in the future. Coaching has truly been life changing for me โ€“ itโ€™s something that I get excited about every day!
