πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘Ÿ Before I went to bed last night I was bored (along with having trouble sleeping as usual). So I decided to play with some walls and challenge myself. I've done these #plyometric #pushup holds before, but never with such a needed length of reach. In order for me to even get close to planting my feet in any kind of way for this, I had to extend my ankles just to be able to get my tip toes on the surface. Flat footed I was too short. Had a semi decent workout with @lewis_visick on Sunday. We had initially gone to the park to workout. However we finally switched plans and headed over to the life centre to train some Calisthenics Gainz. His amazing slow muscle up to front lever. So I made this video last week and wasn't going to post it because I'm not speaking very loudly, but I keep getting messages asking for further explanation after last week's video. πŸ’This is to serve as a visual to keep in your mind. I'm exaggerating each step so that you can visualize the movement. If you've never done a muscle up before, your first one probably won't look like this. πŸ’If you're able to perform a bar muscle up with little to no momentum, you can definitely do a ring muscle up (barring shoulder mobility issues). If you can't, chances are that you're trying to treat the rings as if they were a stationary bar. --- A few things I missed: -Keep a tight body. Point your toes, squeeze your legs, squeeze your butt, keep your elbows in (in other words, keep the rings close together). -If you're not strong enough yet, you're not strong enough yet. Get stronger. Muscle ups are overrated anyway. 😏
