After a much needed day off I was ready to hit the pavement this morning. I recently started a new job in manufacturing, and part of the training is being on the production floor. Standing and working for 8 hours is no joke!
I had a progression run on the schedule this morning. My goal was to start easy and finish at my most recent marathon pace. My splits: 8:37, 8:18, 8:02, 7:32, 7:40, 7:30, 7:15.
I always seem to take a nap 😴 on the second mile of the progression. So that is definitely something I need to work on. Even though I had my watch on, I made it a point not to look at my watch, I told myself, just chip away a little bit. I left enough enough in the tank to bring it home on the last mile.
