FINALLYYYYYY got a workout in after a week of no activity due to a nasty head cold with sinus congestion! 🙌👍👌💪 Started with 5x5 back squats with 55 kg / 121 lbs. This was my 3rd set. Special appearance by @angela.kemph between reps 3 and 4. And then a significant pause between reps 4 and 5 because i could not remember what rep I was on. 😂🤣😑 luckily I guessed right and did the last rep. Today was my first ever attempt at testing my Max for back squats. Kind of bummed out that I didn’t quite get my 335lbs. attempt, but pretty darn stoked about 315lbs.!! PSA - I didn't work Abs today. But when you're this excited 😊 about your workout you gotta flex 💪🏼 something right?!? Your body is so receptive to your emotions. With my semester over and some of the stress dialed back for a few weeks I just CRUSHED my leg workout. The best my knees have felt for squats in months!! Heavy weight for reps today felt GOOD! Finding motivation to workout is always hard, especially during the holidays. What do you have to do to get yourself to get a workout in? For me it's looking myself in the mirror and asking, if I skip today am I going to be any closer to where I want to be? 9 times out of 10 it works...sometimes it doesn't...but that's OKAY! • Find your reason WHY & you'll be surprised with your inner voice helping to be your encourager. Find supplements you love that'll help give you energy to get there & KEEP going during your workouts...for me that's my ketones 🦄 Plain & simple they get my butt out the door & keep me from walking out of the gym mid workout 😂 Seriously though...I'd be a hot mess, never working out, tired mama 🙃 But the point is, find what works for YOU & go for it! No one has the ability to change your outcome except you ⚡️
Killed it today! Did the #ocrbeastchallenge on top of jumping pull ups and farmers walks and my forearms felt like they were going to explode. I hung for 10 seconds at full body weight. Will be working up. Also did some back squats for the first time in over a year. It really feels like I’m putting my injuries behind me! What victory or milestone are you celebrating?

I have realized it just an imbalance of too much OHP work and BP should solve the problem. I went into this session with a lot of back soreness and I really felt the Rows. At the end, Squats felt great. I haven’t hit any PRs but 170 kgs x 2 reps is me back to my best so I am thrilled. I have noticed that doing rep work after the heavy stuff feels very good – 125 could have gone for many more reps but I thought I’d play conservative.
