The Wednesday #athleticconditioning class got to enjoy some sunshine on the last class of summer (officially). They warmed up with a 400 M run and some partner work.  Partner A would run the hill and do 10 #bodysquats at the top and return while partner B did #burpees.  Each person did 5 rounds.  After the bodies had gotten warm they did a #workout ladder which went as follow: 50 #jumpsquats 10 burpees 40 #situps 10 burpees 30 #kb #thrusts 10 burpees 20 #pushups 10 burpees 25 yd #bearcrawl 🐻 Once they came down they went back up to finish with 100 jump squats, 80 burpees and sit ups, 60 KB thrusts, 40 push ups, and 50 yds of bear crawls. I find on cue non countermovement box jumps gold for swimmers. For a couple of reasons: . 1. Practices reaction time 2. Just like the actual track starts in swimming, this drill doesn't utilize the stretch shortening cycle. 3.
