Here's a discussion and I strongly hope that #BLM
to drop in too: Does Paris Jackson count as black?
Hear me out: she's raised by Michael Jackson as her father and after his passing, his mother took her under her wing.
Assuming she's very close to her paternal side, she knows what it's like in a black household and prolly raised around black kids. Her influences she mentioned in some interview were black idols even older than rihanna.
And another thing to compare her with. I have a friend who's raised in a Filipino house hold and traditions but has a Chinese paternal grandfather and Spanish maternal grandfather, she happily claims the minor races and says she's mixed just to explain her medium brown curly hair and light skin, even tho she was raised Filipino.
But from what I see, it is easier for a lot of people to never give Paris Jackson a "black card" then denouncing how my friend is not really a mixed race in lifestyle.
Honestly I don't see my friend hash tagging #barcelona
or sending some kind of pride of Spain anytime soon. Oh, and she doesn't celebrate Chinese New Year.
Paris Jackson is actually for black activism and all that. But I don't see any #blm
claiming her anytime soon.
