After months of being adopted in January, this dog had been returned to the shelter and accused of biting. This goes greatly #contrary
to his assessment and observational reports at the #Brooklyn
Center when he was up for adoption last October. Nonetheless, he is available for adoption or fostering.
Meet #RICKY #A1093574.
He is a neutered male white and tan american #pitbull
terrier mix. The shelter thinks I am about 4 years old. •
A volunteer writes: Ricky has one blue eye and the #wiggle
of a puppy! He was with his previous owner since he was just a #babe
and was sadly surrendered to us because they no longer had time to care for him. We’re told he is #mellow,
and warms up very quickly to new people. He loved to follow his family around the house, and would #solicit
attention by waiting for them in bed (he’s one I’d definitely want to #cuddle
with!). His likes include strolling around the neighborhood, getting #massages,
and playing with balls. He has been SUPER #sweet
whenever I’ve hung out with him. He is easy on leash, seems #housebroken,
and loves treats (he showed me that he knows “sit,” “paw,” and “down” — a star!). He hits himself in the face with his tail when I pet him, is #adorable
with plushy #toys,
and tries to have conversations with me after I put him back in his cage (his negotiating skills are top notch!). Please come meet Ricky at Brooklyn ACC, discover all the little things there are to #love
about him (like how the way his ears emerge from his head make him channel Gizmo from the Gremlins), and see if you might be his Lucy (or Fred)!
