by @hannes_becker One of the most amazing moments I got to witness this year and I captured it with my #HuaweiP10. With its fast aperture and manual settings it's perfect for taking photos during dawn. Mighty Fitz Roy illuminated by the sunrise - One for the books. #ShowWhatyouLove @HuaweiMobileDe #HuaweiLovesTravel #ad Follow us for daily posts! Email or DM us if you'd like to be on the feed!
A Harz classic, captured with my #HuaweiP10. For shooting moving objects, the Pro mode camera comes in handy, as I can adjust the shutter speed manually. This way I’m able to get a sharp shot of the train in motion. #showwhatyoulove #huaweilovestravel @huaweimobilede

The Shinkyo Bridge, Nikko at dusk. . . . . This bridge is like the main entrance to Nikko's temples and shrines complex. The bridge itself is part of the Futarasan Shrine, one of the tree in Nikko that worship the Mount Futara as a "shintai". In the Shinto religion, a shintai is an object in which a divinity can reside, providing a physical form accessible to its believers. . . . A legend says that when Saint Shodo arrived here, the water flow was so strong he could not cross the river. A god helped him by sending two snakes that turned into a bridge. . . . . 📷 #huaweip10 #huaweilovestravel

Photography is based a lot on trusting the equipment you're shooting with. For that reason, I'm glad to have the #HuaweiP10 always with me. Its Dual-Lense-Camera and the Pro-Mode can even handle low-light situations like this at Lago Di Braies 🇮🇹  #showwhatyoulove #huaweilovestravel @huaweimobilede #ad
Breathtaking view of the sunset ft. mountains, somewhere before Irohazaka (Iroha Slope), Nikko. . . . . Nikko is a city located in Tochigi Prefecture, 2 hours by train from Tokyo. Nikko had been a center of Shinto and Buddist mountain worship for many centuries before Toshogu was built in the 1600s, and Nikko National Park continues to offer scenic, mountainous landscapes, lakes, waterfalls, hot springs, wild monkeys and hiking trails. There are plenty of monuments to visit featuring on UNESCO's World Heritage sites, including the Nikko Toshogu Shrine. If you plan to visit Japan, be sure to put Nikko in your list! . . . This is the road that you will not miss when you go from Nikko City to Chuzenji Lake (also the slope that i cried cycling up for 3 hours and came back down by 30minutes 😂) There are total of 48 curves upslope and downslope, with a distance of 15km, elevation of 600m till it reaches Lake Chuzenji (one of Japan's highest lake with elevation of 1269m above sea level). The number 48 itself fits the number of syllables in formerly used Japanese alphabet "Iroha", giving each curve the name from Japanese alphabet syllables, hence the name "Iroha Slope". . . . . 📷 Taken using #huaweip10 #huaweilovestravel . . . . #backpackersstory #bungeegirl #girlsborntotravel #wearetravelgirls #femmetravel #mountnikko #japan
So there i saved on my transportation, so how did I saved on accomodation? . . . Couchsurfing. I stayed with my family host when I was in Tokyo and Sendai, before i even started my tour. Most of the time when i'm on the road i gamble and don't really plan where to crash till i reach a certain place and when it gets dark. Such poor planning makes it hard to even think to request where and when to get a host cause I didnt knew where i would be by the end of the day. . . . . So then, where did I sleep nights after? Parks, RnR and some nights by the beach in my tent or hammock. Thanks to Google Map, you could view all the free campsites, onsen, parks, RnR and etc in Japan. Just google "JAPAN FREE CAMPING" and click on the google map viewer. Note that it's not actually legal to camp in parks, but I just couldn't cycle any further and decided to just... Crash! . . . I did got interrogated by worried police officers 4 times, but after knowing what I was up to they just let me be and told me to give a call in case anything bad happens (thankfully nothing happened). I was and felt completely safe the whole time i was there, like literally anywhere I go i barely lock my bike, simply left my stuff around and it was still there the next day. No one did bothered me while I was camping or cooking or do whatever!! Japan is ranked as the 3rd most safest country. So it's a go go for solo travellers!! . . . . I did spent some nights in a comfy room when @wanarzk came for a few days in Osaka and Kyoto and got a great deal on airbnb. I got hundreds of travel credit and got the entire apartment to ourselves, spent only 80RM/person for 3 nights hah! So skip hotels and book using Airbnb! . . . . Invest in a tent and hammock and you could sleep almost anywhere, for FREE. Make sure you do it in a public place and checkout whether it's okay to do so! . . . . 📷 Taken using #huaweip10 #huaweilovestravel . . . . #backpackersstory #bungeegirl #girlsborntotravel #femmetravel #japan #wearetravelgirls #backpackers
scenic spots. #sponsored: I captured this picture a few days ago with my #HuaweiP10 after I found a rooftop. It's nice to have a quality camera in your pocket when roaming the roofs! sponsored by @huaweimobilede #showwhatyoulove #huaweilovestravel
Some people laughed at me when i said I was touring around Japan on a folding bike. Some gave me that "EHHHH NANI WAAA" Japanesey reaction like they thought I was bullshiting or something. Trust me, i couldn't believe it myself at first. . . . . I had no experience, no training, so little knowledge about bicycles even my mum screamed and thought i was crazy for doing what i was doing. . . . . But stubborn Jiha wants to do what's on her bucketlist so she did so till she made some mistakes along the way but that's okay it was more of "happy accidents" 😂 . . . . Like falling down the bike after hitting my own bottle for not tying it securely in my basket then i skidded on the road like a fool. It left a scar on my right elbow and some ugly looking bruises meh barulah gengster katanya. . . . . And like pumping too much air on my back tyre and it popped somewhere in Shimada leaving me stranded, in the strom when most of the bicycle shops were closed, on a WEDNESDAY (GOD WHY??) Luckily some locals helped out and I left the city day after with a smack on my head NO MORE PUMPING TOO MUCH AIR. . . . . But from those mistakes i learned a lot. . . . . I almost gave up on somedays especially going uphill. I hated it so much i cried when i climbed 20km, 700m elevation up Nikko. One car passed by, rolled down his window and shouted "GAMBATEH!!!" And that fired up my spirit. . . . . Absorbed positive vibes and picked up few tips from travellers alike and locals i met along the way, giving me support and kept me motivated to continue doing what some thought was impossible. . . . . Naysayers will always be a pain in the ass, only if you take it to the heart. So let. Them. Be. At the end of the day, all you have is you to yourself up. Follow your dreams, believe in yourself and never give up on something you want so badly. . . . . 📷 taken using #huaweip10 #huaweilovestravel . . . . #backpackers #wearetravelgirls #bungeegirl #girlsborntotravel #femmetravel #backpackersstory #japan #fuji #mypallas
