Light lunch today... I've made some spicy garlic and black pepper chestnut and shiitake mushrooms 🍄 I love the deep smokey flavour of these mushrooms with the crispy cool lettuce wrap - delicious! 😋
Mushrooms are great if you're trying to lose weight as they are low in calories & fat free and provide some important minerals such as potassium, riboflavin, niacin & vitamin D. They make a fantastic alternative to meat.
To make the mushrooms 🍄I sautéed 2 shallots in some olive oil, added some fresh chopped garlic for a minute and a couple of handfuls of finely chopped mushrooms. Finally grind in (lots of) fresh black pepper. Wrap in Lettuce and eat right away! 😋
