I have been overwhelmed these last few days with everything going on these last couple weeks in Santa Barbara. Yesterday was the worst of all. I felt like I had lost control of my ability to regulate stress and plopped myself in front of the computer 20 times too many to make sure our office (the entire source of our income), which had been added to the voluntary evacuation order, was still safe. It's been a hard couple weeks of unhealthy air quality, and being "stuck" here in our new home where most of the people I know and have play dates with are in Santa Barbara. (Thank goodness were here together @steff_rodriguez
💗). It was a sad low the other night when my husband and I excitedly built up going to the one indoor park in Santa Barbara to help our little guy get some energy burnt off, and even that park was closed due to the air quality. And don't even get me started on how freaking hard it is to get a 3 year old to wear a face mask...😳😏 .
All that to say...the ONLY thing I can control right now is myself and my state...and while there is a lot of not so great things happening right now, realistically, there are a hundred times more good. Reminder to myself and anyone else who's down for the challenge this morning to focus and search for the gratitude today (and every day) #attitudeofgratitude #gratitudechallenge
