There are days that I miss living in the states. I miss the fall and how the leaves crunch under your feet as you walk around town, the smell of pumpkin flavored things wherever you go, the nice crisp air, target!, cool whip, friends, and family. I love this life I get to live, I love my boyfriend, my friends, the ministry, this country, even the tortillas. But there are days I just miss what was familiar to me. Today as I was thinking about how y'all are stepping into the fall season, I felt a bit sad. But then Miguel and I went for a little walk and there is this one road close by that has lots of trees and some of the leaves had fallen, I spotted a little pile and declared "I must talk through that pile" so we talked to the pile and I walked around in it a bit. It did not crunch like I remembered, but regardless I was thankful for the little blessing of walking around in the leaves and the even bigger blessing that was holding my hand and laughing with me.
Though there are days that I miss people and even things from the states, I wouldn't change anything. But I am so thankful for the little and the big things that the lord blesses me with every day! Just some thoughts.. #itsthelittlethings #itsthebigthings #ilovehim #guatelife #guatemala #fall #imissyoutarget #pumpkin #livingthislife
