Sitting on the porch listening to the wind shake the leaves, watching the birds fly by all day isn't the worst way to heal from surgery.
I feel like sometimes I catch the Lord lifting my head up when I am trying to push it down.
It happens when I don't expect it. When the wind blows just right, or the sun sets in just the perfect way. It's like His way of touching my heart and reminding me that He has walked the same road I'm walking, and it's ok.
Through all of this surgery (just finished number 12) I've learned a lot. But the biggest thing I think is that I need to trust God. Because of trusting in His goodness a lot of prayer has been answered. To start I got a rare surgery to fix my jacked up knee, that required a transplant ligament. He provided for it. I can't fit into this post everything that's transpired that just proves to me, God is good and He loves us. Sometimes I was tested, things have been so hard, and I have been in a lot of pain. But because of Him I can remain hopeful.
Best of all, I finally have a great way to facilitate this mission. It's a real, live, plan now! I have my van, my dreams, and now my means to get it all done. The scary part is when I'm done having all this surgery I have no excuses. It's just time to get out and stay out.
