This post from @phillearney really hit home for me. When I started training, that's all I was, a trainer. . . Over the past 10 years, I've dedicated myself to learning how to be a good coach. I realize that no coach will ever get 100% compliance, and that factors outside the gym matter as much or more than the exercises being done in it. Diets don't work but a good sustainable diet does. . . . Stress, travel, work, family circumstances, and past successes and failures all play a role. . . My goal as a coach is to constantly be aware of these factors and work to help build up the total person, not just their one rep max or lower their body fat percentage. . .
