Hitting my goal weight like… 🙈💪 (tag a friend & comment)
You know the routine - step on the scale, wiggle around, touch the wall, don’t touch the wall, take off another layer, try to go pee, WHATEVER to make that dreaded device budge. If this is you, then you need to remember that weight is not the only measure of progress!! I’ve actually gained a couple pounds while looking noticeably leaner these past few weeks.
PS - I just posted a new YouTube video. I have a feeling this will be just the lil pep talk you needed. Link in bio to watch that!!

Don't bang your dumbbells. Save your banging for other areas of your life 😉.
I think we are all guilty of banging the dumbbells at the top of pressing movements. It kind of gives us that mental satisfaction that we completed the rep. However, you should not actually let the dumbbells touch at the top of your pressing movements. When the dumbbells touch, you are taking the tension off of your chest for a half a second or so. Also, depending on how hard you bang 😉, the dumbbells can bounce off of each other and throw your set off and potentially even cause injury. Instead, focus on getting a full contraction at the top without the dumbbells touching and keep constant tension on your chest.
Overall, banging the dumbbells isn't the worst mistake you can be making. I just don't think it's optimal.
