TLDR: Being healthy isn’t about being skinny, it’s about loving yourself and taking care of your body, mind and spirit ❤️😘💪🏻 One year to the day and it’s still at my local fish and chip shop 😂❤️💁🏻 Haha it’s crazy to think this was a year ago.
I’ve had one hell of a journey and below is the real story ❤️💪🏻 Just over two years ago I started off happy but morbidly obsess and on a mission to be healthy.
I lost over 50kgs in 8 months.
Everyone congratulated me for being skinny.
But the truth is I had developed an eating disorder, I starved myself - eating less than 300 calories day and forcing myself to throw up anything unhealthy; and I over exercised - around 2 hours a day mostly cardio.
My organs started to play up and I realised that my efforts had just made me miserable and unhealthy.
Over the past year and a half, I’ve had a tough time. Yeah, I’ve gained weight but I’m also a billion times stronger both mentally and physically and most importantly I’m happy. 🙂❤️
I'll admit this isn't my finest piece of photography, nor my best presented breakfast, but I like to keep things real with you guys!
I'm up at 5.30 most mornings and getting a breakfast together thats quick, nourishing, and simple is my priority over great photography. And with these darker mornings it's become a little more difficult each day to get out of my warm bed!
Anyway, I'm now at work with a happy tummy full of great fats of avocado, pesto fried eggs, walnuts and some vine tomatoes, and am ready to tackle the day!
