I've taken 2 1/2 weeks off from my normal practice and limited myself to mostly just short 20 minute @yogaprowheel routines after my back spasm. Today I decided to try and just move like I "use to" which was really nice. I surprised myself & I managed to press into this handstand (considering I almost never press anymore due to a reoccurring wrist injury, this was a miracle). I'm a huge fan of taking time off of intense working out or certain yoga asanas and letting the body "settle" and find it's own space. Sometimes it's hard to slow down on your own but I guess that's what injury is for I suppose. Lol 😆 All kidding aside ... as a teacher, I'm reminding you to SLOW DOWN and take time off of certain "obsessions" like pressing into a handstand or getting your toes to touch your head.
