Give 110%!!!!!! This simple educational 👨‍🏫video is meant to get you thinking about how you disperse weight evenly across your feet👣. A majority of you probably shift your hips forward and/or lean forward ⏩over your toes, putting an excessive amount of weight on the front of your foot. These aren’t real percentages in the video, but you want to keep about a lot more of your weight in the heel and let the rest of your weight get dispersed evenly across the front of the foot and a little bit on the outside of the foot. The arches of your feet should not be touching the ground. . . Take a photo🤳 or video of yourself from the side and look at where your ears👂, shoulders🤷‍♂️, hips💃, knees, and ankles… are they in line 📏with each other? It is likely that they are not! All of those points should be in line with your ankle bone and heel. If you have back, hip, knee, or foot/ankle pain… this posture and foot analysis is a good indication as to why… you have inactive glutes, arches, and abdominals and are unaware 😧of your positioning. . . The rest of this week will go over how to correct those imbalances! -💻Written by Andrew Dettelbach . . ⚡️ #BeTheExpert! GET A BETTER TRICEP PUMP . The pushdown is one of the most commonly used isolation exercises for the triceps. And it can be great for accumulating targeted volume to help drive muscle growth.💪🏻 . When we're doing it though, we want to make sure we work the tricep to its peak contraction. But the problem we run into is that our hips ❌block us from getting to that point. So a quick modification you can do is to add a slight hip hinge first so you ✅clear your hips out of the way and are able to fully extend the arms. I also suggest stepping back slightly because as you hinge, your upper body will come forward slightly too, so the step back will keep the cable from being in your face. . Try it out, get a better contraction, and subsequently a better pump. . Have questions? Hit me up in the comments and I'll try to help you out. Because I come from an Asian dad and a Caucasian mom, I've been bullied all my childhood. Then I got older. And I am thankful that, because I've gone through rough times, now I really know who I am. I am asian AND caucasian. I am different AND unique. I am strong AND passionate. I care a lot about acceptance AND I am open-minded. I know want I want AND I will fight for it. I am Stevo Trann AND no matter what people think me, I will live my life regardless of any jugement. I am who I am AND most of all, I am free. I chose to say AND rather than OR because I like the notion of inclusion. I come from a family with multiple cultures and background. I've always fought for difference and always tried to open the eyes of the ones who were blinded by ignorance. I am so proud of being the person I am. Lets fight together to stop excluding the ones who are different; because when you're mature enough, you find out that difference is the most beautiful gift in the world. Don't let people put you down for it. Instead, try to make them see how wonderful you are 🐼 . @frankandoak just launched its And* collection, in collaboration with @petitesmainsmtl which supports immigrant women in need. 2 days of presentations/ performances at @kennedycenter with @artslovernyc? DONE. I performed the background song "Questions" for 500+ guests. Many of which were elderly and totally UNFAMILIAR with Hip Hop. The response was incredible and many said that their entire perspective on #HipHop was reversed because of my contribution. Simone and I were tasked with formally introducing HipHop to the core #KennedyCenter community. That's no small feat. Hip Hop is bigger than all of us... Hip Hop is GLOBAL. Still, I'd say we did the culture justice 💗 Looking forward to being a part of the upcoming 2018 -2020 schedule. Meanwhile, I'm teaching the babies on the side. This picture shows a Filipino Guerrilla soldier, also the only known female Filipino Guerrilla soldier, Captain Nieves Fernandez, as she shows US Army Private Andrew Lupiba, who was also originally from the Philippines, how she would use her long knife to silently kill Japanese soldiers during the Japanese occupation of Leyte Island. This picture was taken by Stanley Troutman on November 7th of 1944. The location was Mabuhay Las Piñas, Leyte Island, the Philippines. Nieves was a very skilled fighter and crackshot, and she trained her men in the art of combat and how to make improvised weaponry to use against the Japanese. Nieves, with her men, managed to kill around 200 Japanese troops with only 110 men, and the Japanese even put out a 10,000 Pesos reward on her head in the hopes of capturing her, but to no avail. Nieves was not the main leader of the Filipino Guerrillas though, as that position belonged to Ruperto Kangleon. Kangleon has been a Filipino soldier until the Japanese conquered the island chain. He then evaded capture and turned into the leader of the guerrilla force. He and his men, the Black Army, were successful in waging a sub-was against Japan and were able to push the Japanese back and also aided the US resistance guerrilla forces via information and the US landing on Leyte in 1944. Many people often forget about the role of resistance fighters during the war, but it was actually very important.
