I used to train in silence. It was my "peaceful" escape. My quiet war I waged against the iron...and myself. My only goal was to make myself better in even the slightest way, than I was when I began that workout. I was laser focused and thought that music could distract me from that goal. I was wrong! Now I can't train without it. As you have experienced if you train to music however, only the right type will do!! You like metal and your gym is playing 5th Harmony...you're fucked! Ear buds are your best friend in that case. Bottom line is, output is increased by up to 15% when the right tunes are pumping in your ears! If you aren't doing it, it's time you give it a try. Let the gains begin!
