Calling all Harry Potter fans - check out this new record set by Bloomsbury, the initial publishing house for Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (also known as Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in the USA). Earlier today they achieved a wizard-filled title for the 'Largest gathering of people dressed as Harry Potter'. The record attempt took place in honor of this upcoming Monday, June 26th which marks 20 years since the best-selling novel was first published. In order to beat the current record holder, the publishing house invited local kids to come to the town hall in Bolton, UK wearing the Hogwarts school uniform, glasses, a wand and a fake scar. As you can see, hundreds of enthusiastic Potter fans came out to celebrate, setting a new standard at 676! "What a fantastic way to celebrate such an iconic book. To bring the record directly back to young readers is the perfect way to mark this very special occasion," said Ian Lamb, Head of Children’s Marketing and Publicity at Bloomsbury.
