The rangefinder form factor of the X-Pro2 is a major reason it is my preferred X-series camera. It’s size, weight and layout make it ideal for both my personal and work photography. ⠀ ⠀ While I use both the XF16-55mm and XF50-140mm f/2.8 lenses with the XP2, I prefer using it with one of the exceptional Fujinon XF primes, such as the XF35mm f/1.4 or, my new favourite, the XF 23mm f/2 lens. For work, lens choice depends upon circumstance. Much like whether I use the optical or electronic viewfinder. Having the option of either viewfinder is brilliant. ⠀ ⠀ This “landscape” was captured over the Strait of Georgia using the XF23mm f/2 lens. Amazing dynamic range and the small size of the XP2 make it ideal for shooting into the light while aboard a floatplane. ⠀ ---⠀ #myfujifilm #XPro2

The combination of the XP2 and XF35mm f/1.4 lens is incredibly versatile, allowing me to shoot close to subjects without the intimation of a big camera and large lens. This would easily be my choice if I had to settle for only one camera. ⠀ ⠀ ---⠀ #myfujifilm #XPro2
Great composition in this photo by @unbx - shot with the #XPro2 and #XF35mmF2 #myfujifilm ⠀ ⠀ I caught up with my friend @aubrymarie over some coffee at my favorite spot ( @bodegasantamonica) and talked about how over analysis can turn to paralysis. She posted this photo with a caption summed up our conversation and I couldn't have said better myself. So I'm just going to share her words here:⠀ •⠀ "It's said that- the moment you have an idea/inspiration💡 a countdown begins and within 5 seconds you start to talk yourself out of it. Talking yourself down. An elaborate conversation using fear based logic takes place in your own head. Justifications for the lack of action. In the end often times we choose caution over passion. ⠀ Be it something seemingly meaningless like a handstand in the window of the coffee shop, a conversation or taking a stand and changing your life, maybe even acting on that invention you know would do well! For me- this is a big part of the mantra "Speak your truth" Be you. Unapologetically, unfiltered and without hesitation! There is only ONE of you in the whole world- please share." - @aubrymarie

The X-Pro2 is excellent when working with people, especially children. It's small and unobtrusive. I can maintain a good connection with my subjects without the camera or lens distracting them. I've set the X-Pro2 up to automatically focus on the eyes (right) of the subject because for me the eyes make the portrait. No matter how or where they move, the camera will track, focus and refocus on the eye or face for a nice sharp image.⠀ ---⠀ #myfujifilm #XPro2

He was a regular visitor to the villa while I was there...probably because I kept feeding him. It was also the first time I was using the X-Pro2 camera. Compared to my XT-1 this was a big step up with the new Auto-Focus system which had no problem keeping up with the various subjects I was photographing from wildlife to the occasional wind-surfer. The new 24 megapixel sensor is just wonderful...it captures the most amazing detail which you can see on the dragon's scales. The additional dynamic range ensures that I'm capturing information without the fear of losing detail in the highlight or shadows areas. The X-Pro1 got me started in the world of Fujifilm cameras and now the X-Pro2 takes it to a whole new level while remaining stylish!⠀ ==========================
We're sharing #myXPro2 stories all month. Use the hashtag and we could share yours. ⠀ ⠀ --- Photo by X-Photographer John Davidson @johndavidsonphotography ⠀ ⠀ **This image was shot after heavy rains in the Beach area of Toronto. The ability of this camera to produce black and white images directly from JPG is uncanny. Here I used the XF18-55mmF2.8-4 R LM OIS “kit” lens and converted to black & white from a RAW file. ISO 320⠀ ⠀ To me, the X-Pro2 is another step in the progression towards camera perfection. ⠀ When I first tried the X-E2 (and later the X-T1), I thought Fuji had all but achieved the pinnacle of camera perfection. Not so! The X-Pro2 redefines the enjoyment and expectations of making pictures. I simply love taking pictures with this camera. It’s so quick. And by that I mean responsive. Whatever I wish to do it simply does. I love the weight and balance. The way it feels as it is brought up to the eye. Switching between an optical and electronic viewfinder is one of the standout features of the X-Pro2, yet I confess 90% of the time I prefer the EVF. It just works for me. And that sensor! I’m able to produce 16 x 20 and larger prints that defy logic from that APS sized sensor. Oh, and although it is small enough to not intimidate anyone being photographed, it is elegant enough to turn heads. Can’t remember enjoying a camera so much.⠀ ⠀ #xpro2 #myfujifilm
What a lucky shot by @bob_canto with his X-Pro2. #myXPro2 #myfujifilm #XPro2 ⠀ ---⠀ ⠀ Some backstory to this photo. Walked out of a building in Copley Square with the camera set for indoor/lowlight conditions. I see this young lady walking with her umbrella to the side. Intrigued, I ran parallel, no time to change camera settings. I caught up to her, got down on one knee. Click. Caught her full stride. Happened in the blink of an eye. Sometimes you get lucky. I now understand the excitement of street photography.
