My husband's birthday was earlier this week and as I made his cake I realized I had to share how much I'm loving my new hand mixer! The timer feature is beyond cool. To clean your dishwasher, sprinkle a packet of lemonade Kool-Aid mix into the detergent compartment. Empty out the dishwasher, then set it to run on a normal dish cycle. The Kool-Aid will help to dissolve any residues in your dishwasher, so that it can clean your dishes more effectively. || Click the link in my profile for 9 other surprising ways to use a packet of Kool-Aid! http://www.onegoodthingbyjillee.com/10-surprising-things-you-can-do-with-a-packet-of-kool-aid-html.html

My youngest graduates from high school this year and I still feel this way on vacation! 😫😂 Although it is admittedly a lot more fun traveling with my kids now that their grown than it was when they were toddlers. 🙌
Our family loves to spend as much time outside as possible in the summer months! But being outside means dealing with mosquitos which is never fun. But you can fight back naturally this summer with my DIY mosquito repelling bracelet! Plus, it's a fun craft project you can do with your kiddos. Even my grown kids had fun making these bracelets! If your peanut butter jar is empty, you can still get one last use out of it before throwing it out (or better yet, recycling it!) Choose a morning to have hot oatmeal for breakfast, and scoop it right into the empty peanut butter jar. The heat from the oatmeal will help melt the remaining peanut butter, and you can mix it into your oatmeal for a tasty breakfast! || Click the link in my profile for 9 other easy ways to cut down on food waste! http://www.onegoodthingbyjillee.com/10-hacks-to-cut-down-on-food-waste
When my son Kell was diagnosed with celiac disease a few years ago, I assumed he would be doomed to a life of eating really bad, and really expensive, gluten free bread. 🍞😩 While obviously not the WORST problem one could face, it was still a rather depressing thought. That is until I did a ton of experimenting in my kitchen and came up with my gluten free bread recipe that does not suck! I don't even have to eat gluten free and I LOVE this bread. Club soda is well known for its stain removing abilities! Dab club soda onto a stain with a clean cloth to help absorb the stain before washing the item.
If you’re in dire need of AA batteries, but can only find AAA batteries, you can make them work in a pinch with just a bit of tin foil. Place the AAA batteries into the device, then wad up a couple of small pieces of tin foil. Wedge the piece of foil in to fill the gap on the positive end of the battery. (This should be seen as an emergency fix, and should not be used for any extended period of time. But in a pinch it could help a lot!)
Summer outdoor living room is officially open for the season! 🌻⛱🏡 If anybody needs me, this is where I'll be. 😊 #summer
